crocheted shawl for mum

Here is the shawl that I made my mother for winter. She is so happy with it, she is now waiting for winter to come so she can wear it about.

less then 40 to go

I am so excited, I have less then 40 rows to go on my Elmo afghan for my son. Then I will do a simple border around it. I am so excited that it is nearly finished. My mother suggested I enter it into the local show, but I am still thinking about it. I might end up doing it. It would be nice to win :) But I havent been for a long time, so I dont know what the other ladies are like.

Wedding photo

On the 21 of January, my husband and I will be celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversery. Whilst we were in Japan, my Mother-in-law organised for us to have our wedding photos taken. I had to get dressed up in a wedding kimono and it took them over 2 hours to do the make-up and to get into the gear. My husband didnt take very long at all. After we had our photo taken, we thought it would be nice to have one with our son, before we took the traditional clothing off.

WIMs

I have been going through a lot of links and patterns that my fellow CPers have shared, and I am going to start a WIMs (Works in Mind) of projects I want to complete this year. I know it is a big task, especially with a small child who wants you 24/7 and my attention span being short sometimes...but hopefully I will have a list made up of things I want to make and finish.

Skinny scarves and bead belts

Last night, I sat up making a bead belt for my aunt. It was fun and I really enjoyed it. Although I couldnt find any twine, I used my crochet thread that I use to make doilies, it turned out nice. I will take a photo of it and put it up here.

This morning I was surfing about the interent, showing my husband the SKINNY SCARF. I want to make a few of these. Anyway, I came across an interest blog, and have added it to my links. It is called I am Fashion.

I am definately going to be making those scarves and some more belts!!!!

Talent

I have been surfing (well looking at links posted by my fellow CPers) the internet, especially their blogs. I have to say that there are a lot of talented men and women out there crocheting. I am adding some of their blogs to my links list, as they are inspirational to say the least.
